Demanding the President’s resignation
The Georgian opposition is holding a large rally in Tbilisi.
According to Radio "Azatutyun", nearly 7,000 oppositionists have closed Rustaveli Avenue, which is where the parliament building is located and are demanding the resignation of Mikheil Sahakashvili.
Leaders of the opposition say they are organizing a new stage of imposing the resignation of Sahakashvili who took power in 2003. The opposition accuses Sahakashvili of gradually turning his administration into more totalitarian, but Sahakashvili doesn't accept that criticism.
