Information according to which the state registry has refused to register the new party of the members removed from the Social-Democratic (Hnchakyan) Party under the name of the Hnchakyan Social-Democratic Party is not accurate, chairperson of that wing of the SDHP Gevorg Perkuperkyan told "A1+".

According to him, the members haven't applied for registration since according to the law on political parties, a party can appeal to the state agency after holding a founding congress.

Gevorg Perkuperkyan says the congress will be held in the first week of December. "It will be held in Yerevan, but we are still deciding on the hall to fix the date," said Perkuperkyan.

The congress will elect a new board and a new chairperson.

Gevorg Perkuperkyan also said the party currently has 2,600 registered members.
