It hit Galust Sahakyan’s pocket too
Head of the majority in parliament Galust Sahakyan is convinced that inflation is rather high in Armenia, but he doesn't believe that the government should fight against that through coarse methods.
"Many people like me are against artificially stopping inflation. The situation will currently be favorable, but will cause serious problems in the months to come. An attempt is being made to solve issues naturally."
Head of the Republican faction said the natural way is determined by the market and that the government must be able to find out different components of food that is monopolized through authorized bodies and consistent inspections.
Nevertheless, Galust Sahakyan assured that they are trying to do everything possible to avoid the artificial inflation in accordance with the law. The head of the Republican faction told "A1+" that the inflation has hit his pocket as well.
"To tell you the truth, the inflation is having an impact on my purchases as well," said Sahakyan.
Don't the high inflation and the low salaries cause a security issue for the country and lead to the increase of emigration?
"Let's not link everything to security. If they are natural phenomena, it is impossible to prevent them artificially. But I am also convinced that it can be solved as naturally as possible," said Sahakyan.
