Will the MP be tried?
On November 16, Republican MP Spartak Melikyan accused Control Chamber Chairman Ishkhan Zakaryan of bribery following the annual report of the oversight chamber. According to Melikyan, Ishkhan Zakaryan demanded a bribe of 4000 dollars during the checkups in Anania Shirakatsi University.
Some people want to smear the Control Chamber and tangle it in shady deals. Their attempts were evident from the very beginning when they tried to break our back restoring to inadmissible and immoral methods," Ishkhan Zakaryan said today.
According to Mr. Zakaryan, Spartak Melikyan owns 100% of the univesity shares while under the RA Constitution a deputy cannot be engaged in entrepreneurial activities
