Sargsyan awarded Zatulin
Serzh Sargsyan today received the delegation of the intergovernmental commission on cooperation between the RA National Assembly and the Federal Assembly of Russia headed by co-chairs, RA National Hero, member of the RF Federal Council NIkolay Rizhkov and MP Aram Safaryan.
Sargsyan stressed that the Armenian-Russian strategic partnership is on firm grounds and is developing and that the inter-parliamentary cooperation plays an important role in the reinforcement of bilateral relations. The head of state expressed gratitude to those making a contribution to raising the bilateral relations to a new qualitative level year after year through their dedication and daily activities.
"Armenia appreciates and is grateful to all of its friends," said Sargsyan. According to Sargsyan, one of those friends is first deputy chairman of the commission on relations between the CIS and compatriots of the Russian State Duma Konstantin Zatulin whom the President awarded the Honorary Medal for his notable contribution to the deepening of Armenian-Russian cooperation, as well as the strengthening and development of friendship between nations.
Nikolay Rizhkov introduced the head of state to the activities implemented after the decisions taken during the previous session of the inter-governmental commission on cooperation between the RA National Assembly and the Russian Federal Council and the issues to be discussed during the session in Yerevan. The issues are related to innovations, advanced technologies, science and the development of bilateral cooperation in a number of very important spheres.
The President wished the commission success.
