“Every Armenian family owes $800”
"Each Armenian family should know that they owe $ 800 to foreign countries taken by the Armenian government in the past two years. Either we or our children must pay off the debt," Chairman of the United Labour Party (MAK) Gurgen Arsenyan told a press conference November 10.
"Instead of alleviating public burden, reducing the shadow and meeting its budget obligations, the government is interested in attracting foreign resources, which might have disastrous consequences," he said.
"This is a real disaster. Tomorrow the government will raise taxes in order to repay the foreign debt. This will make everyone leave Armenia," he stressed.
Arsenyan's opponent, member of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) Vardan Bostanjyan could do nothing but agree with Arsenyan.
"As Ostap Bender said "we must kill those know-alls." You are right. How can I deny you?" said Bostanjyan.
According to the MAK chairman, the government is carrying out unfair and inefficient policy.
"The government is doing whatever it can," said Bostanjyan trying to defend the coalition government
