Heritage calls on Armenian parliament to pass bill on NKR recognition
Heritage party MP Raffi Hovannisian has called on the Armenian parlaiment to pass the bill recognizing independence of the Artsakh Republic.
Raffi Hovannisian today asked National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan about the fate of the bill saying ‘it is of national importance and Heritage wants to know the date of voting.'
Hovik Abrahamyan said the bill would be put to the vote during the next 4-day parliament session.
Anyway, Mr. Hovannisian does not pin hopes in his fellow collagues.
"I don't have any grounds for optimism though I believe the parliamentary majority was not ready for the vote today. I think they need a few days to achieve mutual understanding with the parliamentary minority."
"Recognizing Karabakh's indfependence Armenia will not hinder the negotiation process. I hope that the parliamentary majority will understand this simple truth and take a right decision," Raffi Hovannisian told A1+.
