The renovated session hall of Armenia's National Assembly is not comfortable for journalists' work. Contrary to this, it offers every convenience to ensure peaceful routine for Armenian parliamentarians.

The parliament seems to have done everything to ensure MPs' impunity.

Journalists will hereinafter cover parliament events from the 3rd floor while the session hall is on the 2nd floor. Journalists have to follow the work of the parliament from specially equipped boxes from behind sound-resisting windows. Sound and video record is technically impossible, hence our journalists simply have to guess what is going on in the session hall.

Dicontent journalists expressed their dissatisfaction to Republican Faction Galust Sahakyan saying they cannot approach and address their questions to MPs - a method traditionally used by Armenian journalists to take comments and short interviews from MPs in the session hall.

"Do you remember that once we could not leave the session hall as you stormed us with your questions. There is a universally accepted order: if journalists want to interview an MP they must apply to the parliament beforehand. The latter shall answer them within five days."

Further, journalists appealed to the Head of Staff of the National Assembly Gegham Gharibjanyan. The latter promised to convey their dissatisfaction to NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan saying the issue would be solved in the next four-day session.

As usual, the luxurious oval hall of the National Assembly emptied immediately after the registration and voting.
