A1+ sued ArmNews
"A1+ Company has participated in a number of tenders but ArmNews is the only TV Company sued by A1+ in local courts and in the European Court of Human Rights," A1+'s representative in the European Court of Human Rights Tigran Ter-Yesayan told A1+.
He reminded that ArmNews had submitted a package of fake documents in the previous tender which A1+ challenged in court. A1+ disputed the authenticity of the documents in court. Although Armenian courts rejected the claim, A1+ won in the European Court.
Today, ArmNews again competes with A1+ in a tender for broadcasting license.
"Only the logo of ArmNews has preserved to date which was not previously registered.
We claimed that the Company's documents were fabricated but neither the National Commission on Television and Radio nor the local courts heard us. They neglected the drawbacks and inaccuracies of ArmNews's package. Seven years have pass and again the TV companies compete against each other. I simply advise the NCTR to pay attention to the companies' packages," he said.
The National Commission on Television and Radio is scheduled to publish the packages on October 28.
