Serbian Foreign Minister in Yerevan
On October 19 the Foreign Minister of Armenia, Edward Nalbandian, received the Foreign Minister of Serbia, Vuk Jeremich, who has arrived in Armenia to participate in the Council of Europe Forum for the "Future of Democracy".
Greeting the guest, Minister Nalbandian noted that the visit of the Serbian President to Armenia in 2010 and the agreements reached during the visit were an important step in the development of relations between the two countries and the periodical meetings on the level of Ministers provide an opportunity to implement the agreements reached by the presidents and exchange views on most different issues.
Edward Nalbandian and Vuk Jeremich attached importance to the steps to be taken in the direction of expanding the cooperation between the two countries in the political, economic and humanitarian fields.
The Serbian Foreign Minister presented the developments in the Kosovo issue.
Touching upon the process of settlement f the Karabakh conflict, Minister Nalbandian noted that the international community makes efforts to solve the issue, but it becomes impossible to register progress in the talks because of the position of Azerbaijan, which constantly rejects the proposals of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.
The interlocutors exchanged views on issues of security in the South Caucasus, the problems existing in the region and the ways of their solution.
