Condominium in Kapan
A multi-functional condominium will be built in Kapan within the framework of the program "Support in construction of apartments for young families" implemented by the "YSU Graduate Union" NGO.
According to president of the organization, RA Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Arsen Karamyan, it is envisaged to build one of the three complexes of the building with 96 apartments with two, three and four bedrooms. The apartments will be sold to the youth and young families of Kapan region for prices lower than those in the market. The complex will be built on Grigor Arzumanyan Street. The organization purchased the territory from Kapan municipality for 14 million drams.
On October 15, Serzh Sargsyan will take part in the foundation of the first building. The new apartment building will have a 9 point seismic defense with gas and underground parking for 150 cars. The entire territory of the building will be renovated. There will also be playgrounds and rest zones. Two hundred sixty citizens from different parts of the region have already applied for apartments in the new complex. The deadline for applications was October 5, but as Arsen Karamyan informed, the deadline has been extended due to many applications.
RA Minister of Finance Tigran Davtyan, who had come to Kapan to meet with his fellow Republicans, said that the government will develop a special policy for the regions and will revise the rents and interest rates to encourage youth to purchase apartments.
