Armenian PM receives ADB delegates
Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan today received a delegation of the Board of Directors of the Asian Development Bank headed by Ashok Kumar Lahiri.
The Armenian premier hailed the effective cooperation between the Armenian Government and the Asian Development Bank emphasizing its continuation.
Speaking about the consequences of the global financial-economic crisis, Tigran Sargsyan presented the measures taken under the anti-crisis program of the Armenian government.
The parties discussed the possible directions of cooperation. In that context, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan emphasized the importance of ADB's involvement in the formation of knowledge-based economy, development of information technologies and implementation of reforms in the field of education. He also prioritized the implementation of programs targeted at the development of the private sector.
Members of the ADB delegation highly appreciated the cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
