Ara Khachatryan to be operated in Moscow
Armenian Weightlifting Federation President Samvel Khachatryan returned from the World Championship in Antalya with good impressions.
"I cannot describe my feelings after Tigran G. Martirosyan took a gold medal. I am pleased with our wrestlers' performance in the championship with the exception of Tigran V. Martirosyan and Gevorg Davtyan. We must be proud as we have a world champion," Samvel Khachatryan told a press conference on Sept. 29.
Tigran G. Martirosyan confessed that he has realized one of his cherished dreams by becoming a world champion. Now he wants to win the title of Olympic champion.
Ara Khachatryan who received a heavy injury during the championship will soon leave for Moscow to undergo a major operation.
"I hope I shall recover soon enough to participate in the next world championship," Khachatryan told reporters today.
