Chairperson of the NA Standing Committee on European Integration Naira Zohrabyan says Armenia thinks more highly of the CE delegates and experts than they really are.

"Most of them know almost nothing about the Karabakh conflict and the region. International organizations must put an end to applying double standards. Recently, we have noticed that the PACE and the EU are applying double standards under the influence of others. We must make serious corrections in our propaganda," Mrs. Zohrabyan told "A1+" today.

According to her, the field assessment mission to be held in the surrounding territories of the NKR from October 4 to 14 is also a result of double standards; otherwise, the international community would send an observatory mission to the Armenian cemetery of Nor Jugha located in Nakhichevan.

Members of the Armenian Delegation to the PACE have raised their voices about the need of sending an observatory group to see the destruction of Armenian tombstones of Nor Jugha in Nakhichevan several times, but they have not taken action to this day.

"There was a time when the PACE planned to send an observatory mission to Nor Jugha, but the mission was suspended due to the efforts of the Azerbaijani lobbying. Now we are trying to raise the issue through the efforts of our supporting delegates to the PACE once again," said Zohrabyan.
Mrs. Zohrabyan doesn't think that the Armenian side should have been against the observatory missions if they are only going to be held on the Armenian side. "One thing is for sure-on many occasions, the international community has recently been convinced that Azerbaijan is impeding the Karabakh peace process and that there is no problem with Armenia. The OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs condemn the war rhetoric. It is high time to address those statements to the one responsible and it is clear to everyone that it is Azerbaijan."
