Budget with a deficit

In the period between January and August 2010, the revenue of the RA state budget made up 503.3 billion drams and expenditures made up 529.8 billion drams, which respectively ensured 97.5 and 83.2 percent of the government's confirmed 9-month plan, as reported by the department of information and public relations of the RA Ministry of Finance.

The annual program indicators of the state budget are 69.1% for revenue and 61.8% for expenditures. In the period between January and August 2010, nearly 26.5 billion drams has been spent from the RA state budget with a deficit according to the 120.4 billion dram deficit foreseen for the nine-month program and the 79 billion dram de facto indicator for the same period.

Income taxes, state fees and compulsory social security payments make up 92.5% of revenue, 6.4% make up incomes, 1.1% are part of the official grants. The state budget also includes the special budgetary funds of state institutions, which have had 12.3 billion drams in the given period.

In the given period, the government has made expenditures worth 8.8 billion drams at the price of special budgetary funds of state institutions. Compared to the same period in 2009, expenditures from the state budget have increased by 7.1% or nearly 35.3 billion drams. The growth is due to the increase of expenditures for the state debt and grants, as well as the reduction of entries after the alienation of financial actives.
