Swore in the Prime Minister’s presence
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan today visited high school N29 after Andranik Margaryan on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge. Congratulating teachers and schoolchildren, Tigran Sargsyan stated:
"Dear students, teachers and parents, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, I would like to congratulate us all on the occasion of September 1. This is a symbolic day because it means a new beginning for thousands of families. There are families sending their children to school for the first time, children setting foot in schools for the first time and university students starting their academic year. They are starting with new expectations, new faith and striving for the good and a bright future.
We must create an environment for you to attend schools with pleasure and enthusiasm and I believe that the school after Andranik Margaryan has that mission. We remember Andranik Margaryan as a patriotic state and political figure who appreciated schools, knowledge and discipline. The Day of Knowledge also has another symbol. We must place importance on people who have the knowledge and those who teach," said the Prime Minister, placing importance on the fact that everyone was taking part in the teachers' oath ceremony. Tigran Sargsyan congratulated the attendees once again and wished them success in order for the new beginning to be fruitful and bring happiness to all families.
The Prime Minister toured the school, visited the classrooms, the school gym, got acquainted with the conditions and spoke with students and parents.
Tigran Sargsyan also responded to journalists' questions.
