At around 5:30 p.m. a fire broke out in house #11 of the 3rd cul-de-sac on Tigran Mets Street.

Residents of nearby homes immediately called firefighters and four firefighting trucks arrived at the scene. The fire was put out and stopped from spreading.

Head of the firefighting group, Deputy Colonel of the Rescue Service Levon Gulamiryan told "A1+" that they found out that two rooms and a roof with a 45 square meter area were on fire. Fortunately, there was nobody at home. The fire left all rooms of the house burnt.

The circumstances are still being cleared up, although the owners of the burnt homes and their families are sure that the home was set on fire on purpose. Among them was Mary Hovnanyan who lives in the building nearby and told how the fire broke out.

"I saw how the fire broke out from a corner of the yard. It was like throwing a match in a grassy area," she told "A1+".

One of the neighbors living near the burnt home Martik Shahbazyan assured that they had not had any problems with the homeowners.

"We understand their situation, but rumors would be false until the facts aren't cleared up. Even if the house was set on fire, it is bad," he told "A1+".
