Arthur Baghdasrayan, Secretary of the National Security of the Republic of Armenia, today received Peter Semenby, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus.

The meeting focused on issues related to the Armenia-EU Action Plan for 2009-2011.

Arthur Baghdasaryan noted that "in 2010 Armenia will be more active in implementing the reforms and measures envisaged by the European Neighborhood Policy."

The parties touched upon the Karabakh conflict settlement, particularly Azerbaijani diversion of June 18.
"The international community should condemn similar actions, as well as the belligerent statements of Azerbaijan to exclude their reoccurrence in the future," Arthur Baghdasaryan said in his remarks.

Peter Semenby expressed concern over the sally and noted that the international community should pay serious attention to it.

Referring to Resolution 2216 adopted by the European Commission, Arthur Baghdasaryan noted that "such unilateral resolutions that are not based on complete information cast shadow on the negotiation process on the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict."

The parties also discussed issues related to other regional developments.
