The PACE summer session is expected to make another decision to the detriment of Armenia, says Vladimir Karapetyan, member of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Armenian National Congress (HAK). He believes that during the PACE Bureau will approve of the reestablishment of a special committee on the Karabakh issue.

"This is a Turkish-Azerbaijani initiative and the committee will feature both Azerbaijani and Turkish deputies, therefore we are concerned that the document adopted by the committee will favour Azerbaijan and carry dangerous provisions for Armenia," the HAK representative added.

His concern is accounted for a unilateral document adopted by the European Parliament, which was unanimously supported by European political forces.

"It shows that the international community tends to back Azerbaijan," Karapetyan observed.

The demand for the withdrawal of Armenian troops was raised by the European People's Party (EPP). According to Vladimir Karapetyan, prior to the adoption of resolution, EPP leader had a meeting with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan. The meeting focused on a "most important question" - affiliation of the Republican and Prosperous Armenia parties with the EPP.

Vladimir Karapetyan argues that the discussion of the Karabakh conflict in the PACE sessions and adoption of a corresponding resolution by the European Parliament testify to the fact that the Armenian coalition parties have "messed up their business" with European partners jeopardizing Armenia.

The HAK representative sees only one way out of the situation: all officials, diplomats and deputies who have lead Armenia to defeats must resign. Head of the Armenian delegation to PACE should be the first to file a resignation.
