Serzh Sargsyan to meet with OSCE Minsk Group
"The meeting of Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents was held in a constructive atmosphere," Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said after Sargsyan-Medvedev-Aliyev meeting in the Constantine Palace in Saint Petersburg on June 17.
"The parties registered what they had reached in the course of talks and confirmed their intentsion to continue the dialogue aimed at producing the settlement agreement," MIsniter Nalbandian said.
This was the sixth meeting between the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents at the initiative of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. The Presidents earlier met in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Chisinau and Sochi.
With his participation, President Medvedev bridges the positions of the sides and clarifies their stance on a number of contradictory issues thus allowing to continue the negotiation process," the Armenian FM noted.
The Presidents assigned the Foreign Ministers to continue the talks.
On June 18, RA President Serzh Sargsyan will meet with OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs - Igor Popov (Russia), Bernard Fassier (France) and Robert Bradtke (U.S.), who are expected to pay a regional visit in July.
