Why isn't Sargsyan handing?
Member of "Sardarapat" movement, commander of Shushi's separate squadron Jirair Sefilyan considers Freedom Square to be a symbolic place and doesn't think prohibiting the opposition's entrance is by chance.
"It is not by chance that Serzh Sargsyan doesn't want to lose that symbol, but he forgets that Freedom Square is desecrated with his inauguration," Sefilyan told "A1+".
Sefilyan says nobody has the right to go to Freedom Square as long as it hasn't received the people's blessing.
"Today we shouldn't be gathering at Freedom Square, but continue from where we stopped on March 1, 2008."
As far as the assaults and arrests of young Armenian National Congress representatives at Freedom Square and nearby areas are concerned, Jirair Sefilyan said "that was the working style of a dictatorship and will continue as long as the current regime survives."
