“A leopard can't change its spots”
"Today we are witnessing clownery meant for audience having no notion of the techniques of digitalization," President of A1+ TV Company Mesrop Movsesyan said while commenting on the disputed bill on making amendments and supplements to the RA Law on Television and Radio.
"The authorities resort to calculated manipulation based on deception and falsehood. Provided that the monitoring results and the list of frequencies are published, it will announce the end of Grigor Amalyan, Minister of Economy and the National Assembly who are constantly attempting to delude people with their endless lies."
"I announce here and openly that there are 5-6 frequencies in Armenian hidden from the public for ten years. Moreover, they can start digitalization without reducing frequencies and licensing more TV companies," said Mesrop Movsesyan.
"Unfortunately, the bluff started by Robert Kocharyan continues in the country resulting in major losses," he added.
Mesrop Movsesyan is going to submit the whole process to the European Court of Human Rights as another attempt not to meet ECtHR decision. He will also invite international observers to monitor "Amalyan's steps."
"Armenia cannot prosper as long as amalyans and sycophants like him exist in the country," he noted.
Remind that the Armenian parliament is due to start a second reading of the bill. Mesrop Movsesyan is convinced that the parliament is incapable of introducing any changes since the legislative body is deprived of the right. "Our deputies can do nothing but obey the order of the executive body and press buttons."
"The executive body faces a serious problem today. It has to preserve its monopoly; hence, it sacrifices one of the nation's treasures -frequencies. Not divulging the list of frequencies belonging to Armenia, the country will finally lose them, as the frequencies will be allotted to our neighbours who will try to make the best use of them," says Mr. Movsesyan.
The authorities have said that the existing frequencies belong to the National Security Service. But the latter cannot use them. This is another outrageous lie and they will continue deluding people by new lies. The process that started in 2002 is still continuing and as we see a leopard can't change its spots," concluded Mr. Movsesyan.
