Controversial bill to be sent to NA without discussion
The Armenian government has not forwarded the bill on making amendments and supplements to the RA Law on Television and Radio to the National Assembly though the bill will be presented in the NA upcoming four-day sitting in three days without a thorough discussion in the relevant committee.
In its sitting of June 4, the NA Committee on Education and Science revealed that the bill is not included in the sitting agenda.
Heritage Party MP Anahit Bakhshyan suggested that the committee chair protect the rights of committee members and avoid involving the bill on the agenda without the committee's permission.
In reply, the chair noted that the function was beyond the committee's liabilities though promised to present the deputy's concern in the verbatim record of the sitting.
