Operative consultation

The Prosecutor General's Office posted today information related to a consultation held two days ago.
On June 1, RA Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan held an operative consultation to discuss the criminal cases brought up in relation to the incidents that took place at Freedom Square on 2010 May 30 and near Saryan statue on May 31.
Participating in the consultation were RA Deputy Chief of Police Gagik Hambardzumyan, prosecutor of Yerevan Hrachya Badalyan, the latter's Deputy Prosecutor, the prosecutor of Kentron and Nork-Marash districts, Head of the Investigative Department of Yerevan of the General Department of the RA Police and the Head of the Investigative Department of Kentron district. They reported the results of the preliminary inquiry, the evidence obtained and circumstances of the incidents.
The RA Prosecutor General gave an indication to combine the mentioned cases in one case and send it to the Special Investigative Service for further preliminary investigation.
Let us remind that on May 31, journalist for "Haykakan Zhamanak" daily Ani Gevorgyan, her brother Sargis Gevorgyan and Armenian National Congress activist David Kiramijyan were detained.
Today at 6:30 marks the deadline for deciding whether the detainees will be charged or released.
