17 political prisoners now
"There are three more political prisoners in addition to the 17," announced today Armenian National Congress coordinator Levon Zurabyan, assuring that he would do everything possible to support the journalist and opposition activists who were arrested on Monday.
Let us remind that journalist of "Haykakan Zhamanak" daily Ani Gevorgyan, her brother Sargis Gevorgyan and ANC activist David Kiramijyan were arrested on Monday along with nearly ten citizens who were trying to enter Freedom Square.
"We see that the authorities are ready to throw their reputation down and debilitate Armenia's positions before the upcoming sitting of the PACE Monitoring Committee," said Levon Zurabyan.
Levon Zurabyan also informed that the first RA President has returned from his private two-week visit to the US.
"He is back, feels great and is slowly getting acquainted with the political events. He generally doesn't allow himself to intervene in political processes until he doesn't have a full understanding of the processes," said Levon Zurabyan.
