"Armenia has no problems with recruitment"
In his recent bellicose statement Azerbaijan's ex-President, Heydar Aliyev criticized the Armenian army relying on the data given by Yuri Khachaturov, Chief of General staff of RA Armed Force.
Khachaturov has suggested extending the conscription age in Armenia to 32-35. He also noted that in 2010-2016 Armenia will face major problems with recruitment.
Elated by the news Aliyev stated that Azerbaijan had apparent privileges over Armenia.
"Armenia has no problems with conscription. We are conducting planned conscription today which aims to improve the country's armed forces. A similar process is underway in Azerbaijan as well," RA Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan said commenting on Aliyev's statement.
"The age of contract servicemen has been extended to 45 upon their wish. They participated in the war and want to continue serving their homeland," he added.
