CC declines Pashinyan's request
The RA Constitutional Court today adjourned hearing into the case of Nikol Pashinyan immediately after starting the court sitting.
Pashinyan, who is currently imprisoned, demands that the Court cancel the results of a by-election in Yerevan's Constituency 10, which reportedly ended with the victory of his contender Ara Simonyan
CC member Felix Tokhyan declared that the respondent, the Territorial Election Commission, had submitted all required document with the CC and offered the court to recess to study the papers.
Remind that the CC refused to hold a verbal hearing into the case and provide Pashinyan's presence in the courtroom. This made Advocates Vahe Grigoryan and Vahe Hovsepyan waive their client arguing that they had no right to participate in an illegal trial and act against the interests of their client
The CC continually declines Pashinyan's request for being present at the hearing of his appeal.
"Pashinyan's presence in the courtroom is a must as he has numerous motions related to the study, acquisition and evaluation of evidence," Vahe Grigoryan announced at the previous sitting.
