The Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutiun has not discussed the return of Armenia's second president Robert Kocharyan to the state governing system as it thinks there are other urgent issues on the political agenda, ARF-D Bureau member Vahan Hovhannisyan told a press conference today.

"When did Kocharyan leave politics that his return is now pleasing or irritating some circles?" asked Hovhannisyan, adding that he did not mean Kocharyan's return to political life but to the state governing system.

"We have not discussed the issue yet. I think that there is not such an urgent issue on the agenda," said Hovhannisyan.

Vahan Hovhannisyan notes some jealousy towards Kocahryan. "I notice things I cannot find explanations to. I welcome Serzh Sargsyan's visit to Wilson's tomb but why do they forget that Robert Koachryan visited the same tomb 11 years ago? Everyone seems to have forgotten Kocharyan's visit. I see some elements of jealousy which I cannot understand," said Mr. Hovhannisyan adding that each country is mighty with its political succession.

"But the sequence was violated in Armenia a year ago that's why we withdraw from the coalition. We saw that the political path we considered a right one, at least - in terms of external relations, suffered a deviation. Yet, it does not mean that everything must be neglected or covered with black curtain."

When commenting on Vahan Hovhannisyan's opinion, Republican Party Spokesman, MP Edward Sharmazanov said, "Jealousy is not a political category. Moreover, the Republican Party is not jealous of anyone. Jealousy is characteristic of political forces that are bogged down in complications. Republican Party pursues only honest goals. "

Regarding Vahan Hovhannisyan's statement that political continuity was disturbed a year ago Sharmazanov said: "We have clearly said that no confrontation are needed at this stage. They need not seek differences in the foreign policy of the second and third presidents. They had better ally around President Sargsyan and move ahead."
