Today, while RA Constitutional Court was hearing the claim of editor-in-chief of Haykakan Zhamanak daily Nikol Pashinyan, an incident broke out between policemen and representatives of the Armenian National Congress outside the CC building.

The policemen flew into a rage seeing former political prisoner Vardges Gaspar in the courtyard with a placard of Pashinyan's photo. They ordered Vardges Gaspar to leave the area as "he was holding up the traffic." (In fact, Vardges Gaspar was standing on the pavement).

After Gaspar showed resistance, the policemen chained the street and tried to grasp the placard at the same time pushing HAK representatives to the street.

Vardges Gaspar had to lie on the ground and press the placard on his chess so that no one could take it away.

"Shame on you! You back murderers," cried out Mr. Gaspar.

HAK representatives are determined to stay in the courtyard till the end of the sitting.

Nikol Pashinyan is challenging the results of a January 10 by-election in Yerevan's Constituency 10 which reportedly ended with the victory of his contender Ara Simonyan.
