Javakhk People's Movement urges Georgian authorities to address their issues and concerns in line with democratic principles.

The movement held a meting in Akhalkalak featuring more than 200 participants. Javakhki Armenians demand to cease judicial and political chase against local activists, to release Vahagn Khachatryan, to grant a legal status to the Armenian Apostolic Church as well as other churches expropriated during the Soviet era.

Among other issues, the conference also focused on the election to the local self government bodies due on May 30.
