Joaquín Boghossian, an Uruguayan professional footballer of Armenian origin, will leave Argentine team Newell's Old Boys in June, the team's chief coach announced by the local Mix Sport radio station.

"Bogossian's contract with the team expires in June and we cannot afford his transfer. Joaquín agreed to play in Newell's Old Boys as he had close relations with the club's president. We were searching European clubs for him but were unable to find one," said the coach.

Boghossian's agent Daniel Delgado is presently negotiating with two Italian clubs -Roma and Sampdoria.

Earlier, Boghossian was scouted by Russia's Lokomotiv, as well as England's Liverpool and Aston Villa.

The Football Federation of Armenia is also negotiating with the Uruguayan footballer but the chief coach of the Armenian team Vardan Minsatyan recently said they had registered no success in this direction.

"Everything will be known at the beginning of June after the final staff of the Uruguayan team is declared for the 2010 World Cup," said the Armenian coach.
