Is revolution maturing?
"The last three years were years of harsh temptations, mass migration and injustice for our nation," Donara Nalbandyan, the first secretary of the Spandaryan regional committee said during the committee's 8th conference.
She presented a report on the country's home political issues, external challenges, and the party activities. In the past three years the party members have paid AMD 510,960 membership fee "Though there are Communists that have great allowances, they pay trivial membership fees," she noted.
Donara Nalbandyan criticized the government for not officially celebrating the day of Soviet Armenia with great luster.
She also criticized the Communist Party since though they speak of the current shortcomings and hardships, they do not point out any specific actions. Moreover, she also underlined the importance of working with the youth: "By bowing to the aged, we ought to rely on the youth."
First secretary of the Armenian Communist Party (HKK)Ruben Tovmasyan drew parallels with the October Revolution and noticed that "the government is inciting public outburst." The outburst is unavoidable given the widespread unemployment, poverty, migration, and inflation.
"The government is doing its best to oppress the public, and the disorder of March 1, 2008, serves as proof. The government does nothing for the public; it is busy with plundering and grabbing. This country will have no future if we do not hurry to nationalize everything created during the Soviet years, and if the strategic branches are not concentrated in the hands of the public," said Comrade Tovmasyan.
