Two years ago the first dawn of spring was marked with greave news.

The police attacked the demonstrators at Yerevan's Liberty Square and violently ""cleansed" the area. The day ended with 10 victims - Tigran Khacahatryan, Zakar Hovhannisyan, Gor Kloyan, Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, David Petrosyan, Armen Farmanyan, Samvel Harutyunyan, Tigran Abgaryan, Grigor Gevorgyan, Hamlet Tadevosyan...

Although the authorities state the page of March 1 is closed the events still need to be disclosed as both the relatives of the ten victims and the public seek an answer to many questions.

"Why a proper investigation into the events is not held in the country to reveal the criminals and perpetrators of the events? Why aren't the officials giving an order to involve RA Armed Forces in the "operation" and to "disperse" peaceful demonstrators brought to justice?

One of the victims - Tigran Abgaryan was a military draftee. Who had ordered an ordinary serviceman to go to the city center?"

These are among the many questions which still haunt the families of the victims 2 years after the tragic events.

In utter despair, the relatives of the victims appealed to the PACE Monitoring Committee though they fear that the authorities' negligence is somehow resulted by the indifference of the Council of Europe.

"Anyway, we are hopeful that being the conscience of Europe, PACE will reflect the genuine stance of democratic Europe in its actions and assessments," say the relatives who hope to meet the co-rapporteurs of PACE during their Yerevan visit.

The families want to present their demands and observations on the tragic events to the co-rapporteurs.

To add, the Armenian National Congress (HAK) is holding a rally near the Matenadaran at 5:00 today in connection with the 2nd anniversary of the March 1st deadly clashes. Armenia's first President Levon Ter-Petrosyan is expected to address the ralliers.
