Joint statement
The Social Democrat Hunchakian Party (SDHK), Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun) and Ramkavar-Azatakan (Liberal Democratic) Party (RAK) issued a statement today.
"This year marks the 95th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The international recognition of the Genocide and the struggle led for it are of great importance for the values of human civilization and security of Armenian statehood. The criminals remained unpunished thus allowing the repetition of similar crimes.
We are determined in our struggle for fair trial and are hopeful to administer justice. We call on Armenian authorities, public and political forces, Diaspora structures and all bodies concerned with the fate of Armenia to unite over pan-national ideas, demonstrate a joint firm stance and willpower and take real steps in order to solve the country's problems and to secure Armenia's unique place in the world.
We condemn all endeavours aimed at breaking Armenians' willpower.
Numerous countries have already recognized the Armenian Genocide. There is no other alternative. With joint efforts and by strengthening our independent statehood we shall get the whole world including Turkey to recognize the Genocide. This is the guarantee for security for the Republic of Armenia and its people," reads the statement.
