"Armenia is committed to the letter and spirit of the Protocols between Armenia and Turkey and we are ready to proceed with the process without preconditions," Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbnadian announced today.

"Turkey's allegations that the decision of the Armenian Constitutional Court carries provisions conflicting with the Protocols and the Armenian side has introduced changes in the documents are nonsense."

The Armenian FM is hopeful that the Turkish side will also stay committed to the arrangement and ratify the protocols.

"We believe that Turkey will not look for artificial reasons to protract the ratification. Turkey's attempts of laying the blame of failure on Armenia will be condemned by the international community. I think that people outside Turkey and even inside the country do not believe Turkey's statements. No success will be achieved in the peace deal if Turkey continues its policy and avoids ratification of the Protocols."

Speaking about the upcoming trilateral meeting of Presidents Dmitri Medvedev, Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliyev, Minister Nalbnadyan thanked the Russian President for the imitative. "Armenia is hopeful that the positive dynamics fixed in 2009 will be maintained during the current year. Nevertheless, I think that artificial acceleration or slowdown will hardly help the process"
