Pashinyan’s proxy to appeal to CC
Candidate Nikol Pashinyan running for Armenian Parliament in a January 10 by-election is going to challenge the election results in the Constitutional Court.
Pashinyan's proxy Vahe Hovsepyan says they will appeal to the CC on January 21 with a request to annul the election results at Constituency 10.
"The application is already ready. Currently, we are preparing the materials and videos to be attached to the document," said the proxy.
Let us remind that Pashinyan's pre-election headquarters had appealed to the Administrative Court against the laziness of the Territorial Election Commission which had summed up the election results without waiting for applications on violations to be presented by Pashinyan's proxy.
The TEC is scheduled to consider the applications on January 21.
"I don't imagine what decision the TEC will take tomorrow. If it decides to cancel the elections of January 10, it will be no use taking the claim to a higher court. But I don't expect the TEC to make a fair decision," Vahe Hovsepyan told A1+.
