"I shall smash your camera if you shoot"
Though the parliamentary by-election started five hours ago, the number of voters at polling stations 10/19 and 10/20 hasn't increased.
No major incidents have been recorded at the polling stations so far.
At polling station 10/20, A1+'s cameraman was forbidden to shoot the area where candidate Ara Simonyan's proxy was standing with his friends.
"If you shoot, I shall smash you video camera with my phone. Let's go out and have a talk," said the proxy who left the polling station after some journalists interfered in the talk. He returned only after the journalists had left the polling station.
We wondered what the boy was doing at the polling station as Ara Simonyan had another proxy at the same election centre. In reply to A1+ commission chairman Arshak Vardanyan said: "There are about 100 people registered at the polling station. I don't know who you are speaking about? I was giving a certificate to some voters to go to the passport department as their names were left out."
During a conversation with A1+ Sona Muradyan, a proxy of candidate Nikol Pashinyan, said the alleged proxy had threatened her to keep silent otherwise "he would settle his affairs with her just at the polling station."
"He announced that it was their district and their village and I must obey their rules. I am not allowed to look through the names in the registration book. The commission chairman also intervenes with our work," Sona Muradyan told A1+.
The atmosphere is rather tense at polling station 10/19 where photo reporter Gagik Shamshyan is said to have been subjected to violence.
"The atmosphere is heated. The commission chairman has been rough to us since yesterday. He even forced the photo reporter off the polling station," said Vladimir Karapetyan, candidate David Hakobyan's proxy at poling station 10/19.
Commission chairman Gagik Baghdasaryan explained the incident with Gagik Shamshyan in the following way: "No incident has affected the electoral process so far. We cannot consider it as an incident. Gagik Shamshyan simply violated the law, so I invited him out."
Gagik Baghdasaryan refrained from detailing the violation and said it would be attached to the protocol.
Let's mention that the work of Azatutiun radio station has also been barred at the polling station.
