Today A1+ tried to learn new details on the situation in Artashat from Henrik /Jonik/ Abrahamyan, the brother of Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan.

Remind that scuffles were incited, cars burnt and criminal cases filed as a result of a serious variance between Henrik Abrahamyan and Hovhannes Ghazaryan. Their relatives are being taken to police departments and kept hostages in order to make the wanted come out of hiding.

I have no connection with the events.

- You are said to have opened fire in the direction of Ghazaryan's house. What will you say in this regard?

- This is an outrageous lie. My upbringing wouldn't allow me to shoot them. To be more precise, they opened fire at my son's car. Thanks God he wasn't wounded.

I have been on friendly relations with Hovik for 15 years. I have nothing against him and I wouldn't like to see him or his son in handcuffs. Thanks god the boy is safe and sound. God be with them.

-What is the general atmosphere like in Artashat today?

Everything is all right. They have certain problems with the police and law-enforcers. Let them settle their problems themselves.

-Do you mean to say that you have burnt no cars or...

Well a car was set on fire and those guilty were made accountable. Everything is already in the past. I have no connection with today's turmoil. I am not a law-enforcer. Neither are my relatives.
