Residents of Hrazdan do not know the only candidate running for Parliament at Constituency 25. Most our respondents said they would abstain from the elections since they had no idea about the candidate's pre-election programme.

"I shall not vote for anyone in this false country. In a false country, elections are also faked," Hrazdan resident Anahit Hakobian told A1+.

"I shall surely participate in the vote but I know neither the candidate nor his programme. They will not conduct a fair election in Armenia and they will choose the candidate they have named. Anyway, I shall exercise my right and go to the election," said Rita Georgian.

Remind that a by-election was called at Constituency 25 after the National Assembly revoked the mandate of opposition MP Sasun Mikaelian, prosecuted and convicted in connection with last year's post-election unrest in Yerevan.

Mkhitar Harutiunian, a member of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), is nominated at the precinct. He is the executive director of Tsakhkadzor's sport complex.

Freelance Mushegh Harutiunian and Mher Hairapetian quitted the race as the former presented a withdrawal, and the latter failed to submit the necessary documents.

"If Sasun Mikaelian nominated, we would vote for him. We don't want to know the other candidates," said a third resident.

Most villagers avoided speaking before cameras. They said that the "chase" against the supporters of former NA MP and political prisoner Sasun Mikaelian followed the events of last March.

"They dismissed Sasun's supporters saying: "Now go and elect Sasun." Those people are unemployed today. Many have left abroad. And if now we dare to say a single word they will treat us in the same way", said the villagers.

Remind that the election is slated for on December 6.
