Miasnik Malkhasian: "I felt ashamed of my fellow colleagues"
Former RA parliamentarian and political prisoner Miasnik Malkhasian is going to appeal a Cassation Court decision at the European Court of Human Rights.
"The European Court will surely return a verdict of acquittal which will greatly affect Armenia's budget. I am hopeful that in the meantime the Armenian authorities will sober up and release the other political prisoners," Miasnik Malkhasian told A1+.
Miasnik Malkhasian says he continues his political activities though he is no longer a parliamentary deputy.
"I thank God as I am no longer surrounded by stooges ready to vote against their heart remorse. I felt ashamed of my fellow colleagues," added Miasnik Malkhasian.
With regard to the reopening of the Armenian-Turkish border, Miasnik Malkhasian said: "No Armenian would oppose to the reopening since it stems from Armenia's interests. A person having the slightest notion of politics will understand that the Protocols carry preconditions conflicting with Armenia's interests and security. This is most concerning."
