Surenyants withdraws his application
On October 21, member of the Hanrapetutiun Party's Political Board Suren Surenyants announced about his intention to run for Armenian Parliament at Precinct 10.
Later in the day, Coordinator of the Armneian National Congress (HAK),Levon Zurabian, announced that the nomination hadn't been agreed with the HAK and they wouldn't back Surenyants.
Today the Hanrapetutiun Party issued a statement.
"The Party's administration was discussing the country's political situation these days and Sureniants' nomination in this context. The discussions didn't focus on Sureniants' decision as his initiative was acceptable for us. The Party respected its member's decision."
The Armenian National Congress has also issued a statement on the nomination of Hayakakan Zhamanak's chief editor Nikol Pashinian at the same precinct.
"Taking into consideration Pashinian's present status, Suren Surenyants withdraws his application."
