"I don't think there will be an issue to dislocate the Russian military base," RA Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan told "A1+", adding that Armenia has joint plans with the Russian Federation's 102nd military group in the Turkish sector and those plans are still in effect.

Ohanyan informed that there are no changes foreseen in the application of military force and the army is solving its issues within the framework.

The issue in question related to the presence of the Russian military base on the Turkey-Armenia border after the normalization of Turkish-Armenian relations and the opening of the border.

Are the RA Armed Forces ready to ensure the security of the nation in the case of open borders? In response, Seyran Ohanyan said:

"The process has been in progress since the start of normalization of Turkish-Armenian relations and we are foreseeing how to show resistance in case of negative factors."

At the present, according to the Defense Minister, the Armenian army is prepared to defend the security of the country. "We believe that the absolute result by which the issue can be solved is not the quantitative advantage. We are keeping the balance through quality and the readiness of our soldiers and subdivisions."

Armenian presses recently released information according to which the RA Minister of Defense was building a villa near the Mergelyan Institute. "A1+" tried to find out the answer to this question. "I am hearing this for the first time. The photo of the villa of the Azerbaijani Minister had appeared in the presses years ago."
