Adviser to the NKR President David Babayan told "A1+" that they have a number of principles and that they will be against the normalization of Turkish-Armenian relations should those principles be violated.

"Turkish-Armenian relations can't develop with preconditions. Secondly, the genocide can't be questioned and thirdly, Turkish-Armenian relations and resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict can't be compared. If these three propositions remain, we will be in favor of the normalization of relations," said Babayan.

David Babayan informed that they are still studying the situation and it is too early to talk about the document.

The thing that consoles the NKR presidential adviser is the fact that "Karabakh" is not mentioned in the Turkish-Armenian protocols. "Of course, Turkey is going to be more active in the region, but we must not let Turkey get involved in the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict when the word Karabakh is not clearly stated in the protocols. It is only based on commentary and commentaries can't be considered a political document."

David Babayan also told "A1+" that as far as the pre-signed protocols are concerned, the majority of the people of Karabakh see a danger from Turkey and there is a lack of confidence in Turkey.

Does Serzh Sargsyan know about this? In response, Babayan said:

"Of course he knows and now he is going to take a tour around the Diaspora to find out public opinion."
