Suren Abrahamian is disappointed with Ad-Hoc Committee
Member of the opposition Republic Party, Armenia's ex Defence Minister Suren Abrahamian, is disappointed with Parliamentary Interim Committee's report on the March 1-2 deadly clashes.
"The Committee dashed away all public hopes. The conclusion of the report seems to have been written by a regional investigator," Suren Abrahamian said to A1+.
The report confirmed opposition's preliminary assessment that the Committee will try its best to conceal the authorities' sins.
"The opposition has no conflicts with policemen. We struggle against the regime that violently used our policemen to silence the opposition.
The report is inadmissible since it neglects public hopes and rebellions, rigged elections which resulted in the March 1 clashes. They want to trap us in their snare," says former Defence Minister.
"The Committee was wrong to analyze the behavior of oppositionists. The Committee was instructed to present authorities' opinion from legal and political views."
Asked whether the Committee can find the March 1 page closed, Suren Abrahamian said: "No that is an absurd. They cannot close the page with their report or calls for solidarity."
