NA deputy Hakob Hakobyan, who was accused in connection with the "March 1" case and was granted an amnesty, was at the National Assembly today.

Asked if he is going to withdraw from his mandate, he said, "I wouldn't be here if I were. Let them do it if they want to."

In contrast to NA deputy Khachatur Sukiasyan who withdrew from his mandate accusing his colleagues of unscrupulousness, Hakob Hakobyan does not hold a grudge against anyone. "Everyone has been dead to me," he said. He added that he asked the deputies himself to vote for and not against. "We have different political views, and that has been the case for the last 20 years."

Nevertheless, despite continuing his activity as a deputy, he is going to remain in the opposition field.

Hakob Hakobyan will not participate in the September 18 meeting, as he has to leave for Germany to get a treatment. He will, however, participate in future meetings. Asked if he will continue to support PPA, he said, "That I don't know, but I will definitely continue to support Levon Ter-Petrosyan."
