Heritage, Congress and ARF-Dashnaktsutiun
Leader of the Heritage parliamentary faction Armen Martirosyan anticipates heated autumn.
"I think it is high time the Heritage, Armenian National Congress and Armenian Revolutionary Federation - Dashnaktsutiun entered a partnership," Mr. Martirosyan said to A1+.
The latter is convinced that power handover is inevitable in Armenia but the opposition should make and be guided by an accurate calculation.
The Heritage faction focuses on two important issues-Karabakh conflict settlement and Armenian-Turkish relations.
With regard to the Karabakh conflict, the faction aims to use the rostrum of the National Assembly and to organise a number of meetings on local and international levels.
As for Armenian-Turkish relations, Mr. Martirosyan thinks that Turkey may open the Armenian-Turkish frontier just for a day to receive Mr. Serzh Sargsyan. Later Mr. Sargsyan will be sent to Yerevan by helicopter or plane.
"I think they will take every effort for Mr. Serzh Sargsyan to travel to Turkey," said Mr. Martirosyan. At the same time he doesn't exclude that Turkey doesn't want to host Mr. Sarsgyan.
Did U.S. State Secretary Hillary Clinton press on Serzh Sargsyan during a recent telephone conversation? Did the State Secretary force Mr. Sargsyan to visit Turkey?
In reply to A1+, Mr. Armen Martirosyan said, "In Armenian-Turkish relations Serzh Sargsyan is to challenge the interests of Armenia and not to succumb to outer pressures."
The Heritage didn't go on holiday in summer. The party had meetings with representatives of international structures.
