The Armenian National Congress has a new headquarters in Gyumri and a new coordinator-Ashot Zakaryan, informed coordinator of the Armenian National Congress Levon Zurabyan.
The ANC is also trying to centralize the activities of all supporting political parties in the Shirak region. Levon Zurabyan also presented the evaluation of the ANC of the authorities' actions:
"We are certain that the current authorities are unable to bring Armenia out of this deep domestic and foreign crisis," said Zurabyan.
Zurabyan believes that the society will be convinced. According to him, the society will also be convinced that the Armenian National Congress is the alternative to the current authorities.
"Our goal is to restore constitutional order, establish legality, fully implement principles of democracy and solve issues facing the economy."
According to Zurabyan, the reason for economic hardships are the illegal monopolies in economically significant fields and the unsubstantiated customs privileges for the advantageous oligarchs.
He denied the rumors that the ANC is trying to be more active again with the help of meetings in the regions. He did not attach importance to the activities of the regional structures, explaining that the authorities won't even let them reach the capital.
Levon Zurabyan informed that the ANC has prepared materials for advocacy such as a brochure that answers questions of public concern.
Zurabyan didn't go into detail regarding the questions and only said that they expect to see the support of the regional structures in spreading the brochures and other materials.
According to coordinator of the Armenian National Congress in Gyumri Ashot Zakaryan, there will be discussions on the Artsakh conflict, Turkish-Armenian relations and the economic crisis. According to Ashot Zakaryan, this will help make the public more active.
