Decided to not violate after being offended
Head of the "Yerevan-Kentron" penitentiary Nelson Zakaryan refused to transfer the daily news to Nikol Pashinyan again. Pashinyan's brother had been trying to hand an appeal to the Penitentiary since morning, but Nelson Zakaryan told Pashinyan's brother that he doesn't accept the day's newspapers because it is against the law.
Let us recall that Nelson Zakaryan remembered the violation after Nikol Pashinyan had touched upon Mr. Zakaryan in "Haykakan Zhamanak".
Today Artak Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with Nelson Zakaryan at the penitentiary in the presence of "A1+". Mr. Zakaryan assured him that the reason for not transferring the papers was not the article about him in "Haykakan Zhamanak".
"Zakaryan tells me to send the papers by mail, but a day later those papers are late. He tells me to send it via express mail, but the penitentiary doesn't take express mail," said Artak Pashinyan to "A1+".
Besides "Haykakan Zhamanak", "Aravot" and "Hraparak", the penitentiary is ready to prohibit Pashinyan from receiving other newspapers and Pashinyan must subscribe to receive the three mentioned papers.
We tried to talk to Mr. Zakaryan at the "Yerevan-Kentron" penitentiary, but somebody else answered and said that he would return a couple of hours later.
The fact of the matter is that if transferring the papers to Pashinyan is a violation, it means that Mr. Zakaryan has been violating until the article about Nelson Zakaryan was printed in "Haykakan Zhamanak".
