There will be no mourning ceremony at the Embassy of Iran in Armenia in memory of the victims of the airplane crash flying from Tehran-Yerevan. There were no bouquets at the embassy and the Iranian flag had not been lowered.

In an interview with "A1+", the Embassy's Public Relations correspondent Ardeshir Javadi clarified:

"The Iranian government has not officially declared a public mourning day and that is why the embassy has not organized a mourning ceremony, although the loss of the citizens have hit Iranians hard. Huge road accidents take place in Iran every day. Of course, what happened is painful, but the government declares an offiical mourning day in case of a great number of victims."

According to Ardeshir Javadi, the Armenian Diocese in Tehran declared a three-day mourning in Iran.

Today the Ambassador of Iran to Armenia and Iranian diplomats will visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, leave notes in the mourning register and will participate in the mourning ceremony to be held at the Blue Mosque in Yerevan at 9 p.m. Let us add that according to data of the Iranian Embassy, the Consulate Department has already helped the families of five victims formulate the necessary documents and leave for Iran. .
