Special Investigaton Service motioned for Nikol's detention
At this moment the Kentron and Nork-Marash District Court is reviewing the motion of the Special Investigation Service requesting that Haykakan Zhamanak's Chief Editor Nikol Pashinian be given two months' custody.
Advocate Tigran Atanesian says they have presented grounded objections.
"The pre-trial body grounded its motion for the fact that the court had made a decision of taking Nikol Pashinian under detention. We state that the only ground was Pashinian's underground activity but he is no longer on the run and we have motioned for Nikol's immediate release," said Advocate Ara Zakarian.
The court is due to make a decision at 5:00.
